Nicknamed KK and La Kurkova by her fashion industry friends, the Czechoslovakian model first became famous in American when she appeared on Vogue`s February 2001 issue at just 17. (Kurkova was born on February 28th, 1984.) One of Victoria`s Secret`s current spokesmodels, Karolina currently resides in New York`s TriBeca neighborhood: her designer apartment was featured on the cover of Vogue Living`s premiere issue. Named Model of the Year in 2002 at the VHI/Vogue Fashion Awards, Kurkova has starred in Tommy Hilfiger, Valentino, and Victoria`s Secret ad campaigns. Unlike her fellow Victoria`s Secret Angels???such as Gisele Bundchen and Bar Refaeli???she has not been romantically linked to any high-profile celebrity.
